- In a truly remarkable and unprecedented move, Audemars Piguet unveiled the Royal Oak Offshore reference 25721 at the 1993 Basel Fair, presenting a bold and reinvented extension of their iconic Royal Oak collection. - Designed by Emmanuel Gueit, this timepiece made a strong statement with its striking dimensions, boasting an impressive 42mm diameter and earning the fitting nickname "The Beast". This groundbreaking release further marked the advent of the oversized trend in luxury sports watches. - Featuring an ash grey tapissérie dial, over the years, this timepiece has acquired an additional layer of character, as the dial showcases a unique and exquisite patina on its registers. Originally finished in brushed blue, all three registers have developed a captivating and even tropical hue. - Despite its lightweight titanium construction, the present watch possesses a commanding presence on the wrist due to its masculine case design. While the majority of the production was in stainless steel, the titanium variant is rarer and offers enhanced durability.
